President & CEO

Joe is the President and CEO of The World Series of Comedy. He started the festival seventeen years ago and has dedicated himself to helping comedians ever since. Joe loves supporting comics, creating opportunities for them, and growing a festival that puts performers first.

JASON ROWLAND

Principal Consultant – Strategic Development

Jason is the Principal Consultant, Strategic Development, for The World Series of Comedy Festival. He helps guide the direction of the festival, working with the team to strengthen operations and develop new ideas that support long-term growth. Jason oversees all major parts of the festival and also runs WSOC Records, helping comics create and promote their recorded work.

JEREMY DANLEY

VP of Ticketing

Jeremy is the VP of Ticketing, overseeing all ticket sales, customer support, and event access. He makes sure fans receive the tickets they purchased or the streaming links they need. Jeremy also serves as the liaison for all satellite locations, ensuring that each comedy club we work with has full access to our ticketing system.

DAN FRITSCHIE

VP of Comic Submissions

Dan is the engine behind our submission system, making sure every comic’s video is reviewed, scored, and handled with care. He oversees all video submissions, manages the review process, and helps comedians navigate the path from submission to selection.

DEREK LUNA

Headliner Host/Reels

Derek is our number one host and also a touring headliner. He drives the festival equipment all over the country. He edits and creates the video reels for each participating comic, making sure everyone looks their best when they post their free video reel.

SCOTT LLOYD

Host/Sponsorship Coordinator

Scott is a festival host and the point person for sponsorships. He works with businesses and partners to secure support that helps the festival and the comedians who take part in it.

ROBBY ACES

Host/Satellite Street Team

Robby is a host and part of our Satellite Street Team. He coordinates the street teams for each Satellite, making sure every location has the support it needs. He will also be looking for comics to join him and help make it all happen.

JOE BARNHOLT

Host/Email Maker

Joe is a host and our email creator. He builds all of our email campaigns and can also help registered comics by checking that their emails are in our system so they don’t miss out on any important information they need for their registration.

TREVOR SCOTT

Host/Graphics Builder

Trevor is a host and our graphics builder. He creates all the graphics Joe needs for email campaigns, as well as the graphics we use for social media, each comedy club, and every top 40 or top 101 comic.

BRETT JEFFRIES

Submission Video Judge

Brett is one of the four Video Judges for the 2026 season. She watches every submitted video, and her score is added to the scores from the other judges to help us choose the Top 40 and Top 101 comics.
